In 1923 Maurice Razol takes over the forge from his father Henry Razol

who ensured during 35 years the development of mechanization in the

south-west of France
(hay reapers, tedders, reaper-binders, etc).

He undertakes the mass manufacture of animal drawn disc harrows

under the NATIONAL brand. This machine originally designed in North-

America, remained until 1950 the most popular implement for all stubble

incorporation and seed bed preparation work, as well as for vineyard and

orchard maintenance.

The program extended to spike harrows, hoes, harvesting and farmhouse

equipments.
In 1953 Maurice Razol's son, SERGE RAZOL, takes over the family business at the age of 24 after his engineering studies.

Serge Razol designs and then launches the manufacture of tandem disc harrows and cultivators adapted to the tractor,

which development had rapidly replaced the traditional animal traction.
